What does #oceanlover stand for?
A personal connection to the ocean. #oceanlover is a statement you can make your own, and an invitation to people who share that feeling. The new typewriter-style wordmark gives the words a simple, slightly imperfect character.
Why does the #oceanlover lettering look uneven?
Perfectly imperfect. Our #oceanlover lettering has an intentionally distressed, worn-in look. The uneven edges and small gaps are part of the design — in both print and embroidery.
If you are unsure whether something is part of the design or a production issue, contact us with your order number and a photo so we can take a look.
Which design will I receive?
We are introducing the new wordmark across the collection. The product images on the item you select show the design you are ordering. Campaign photographs may show earlier designs or special editions.
What can I buy here?
The shop offers #oceanlover adult and kids’ T-shirts, pullover and zip hoodies, caps, a beanie, a canvas shopper, a ceramic mug and a hardcover journal, alongside the Ocean Material trucker caps. Each product page lists the material, fit or dimensions, available options and care instructions.
Are the shop products made from recovered ocean plastic?
The Ocean Material name does not mean that every shop item contains recovered ocean plastic. The collection uses different materials, including cotton, polyester, paper and ceramic. Check the composition on each product page for that particular item.
How does the shop relate to Ocean Material?
Ocean Material works on recycled materials, processing technology and traceability for industrial applications. This shop is home to #oceanlover and the Ocean Material collection. Learn more about the company and explore its wider work on the main website.
Why do you use Stanley/Stella for your clothing?
We choose Stanley/Stella for every T-shirt and hoodie in the shop, including our kids’ tees. Fabric feel, fit and finishing details matter to us. We want these to become pieces you love wearing and reach for often. Choose your size carefully and follow the care guidance on the product page and garment label.
How do I choose a T-shirt?
Choose between the adult unisex T-shirts and the kids’ T-shirt. Adult black and white print versions are separate products. Select the garment colour and size on the product page. The kids’ sizes range from 3–4 to 12–13; age labels are a guide. Check the fit and sizing notes on the product page, or contact us before ordering if you need help.
Is every T-shirt made from the same fabric?
The current adult and kids’ T-shirts are made from organic cotton, according to the supplier. The adult shirts use 180 g/m² jersey; the kids’ shirt uses lighter 155 g/m² jersey. Fit and available sizes differ, so check the individual product page.
Can I put the mugs in the dishwasher or microwave?
The current #oceanlover 20 oz ceramic mug is dishwasher and microwave safe. Take care with hot liquids and check for chips or cracks before use. Always follow the care guidance for the particular mug you order.
What will shipping cost, and where can you deliver?
Enter your delivery address at checkout to see the available shipping options and charges before you pay. For a delivery deadline or a destination question, contact us before placing your order.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Contact us promptly with your order number and the change you need. We will check the order’s current status. This does not affect any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights.
What if an item arrives damaged or is incorrect?
Contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. Photos of the item and packaging can help us assess what happened. Your statutory rights for faulty or non-conforming goods remain unaffected.
How do returns work?
Read our Return Policy & Refunds for the applicable process. Our returns address is Ocean Material, Graumannsweg 61, 22087 Hamburg, Germany. Please send your withdrawal notice separately as explained in the policy. The sender’s address on a parcel may not be the right return address.
Does my purchase include a donation?
A shop purchase and a donation are different transactions. We only describe a donation linked to a product when the amount and recipient are stated for that offer.
